About Me
I'm a husband, father, and veteran with over 20 years of government experience, including work on high-visibility international investigations.
My interest in cybersecurity began in my youth with a curiosity of how networks functioned. As a young adult seeking a challenge and purpose, I joined the U.S. Marine Corps where I was placed into the legal field. This chapter of my life instilled in me a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to service.
Always being the “nerd” of my peer group, friends would often call on me to fix computer issues, recover lost files, and setup networks for LAN parties (including a Mario Kart party in the desert powered by MRAPs).
After leaving active service, I transitioned into a civilian role at the Department of Defense. When I transitioned to my civilian career, I stepped into the same position I held during my final tour in the military, a criminal defense investigator. I continue to work in this role conducting international criminal investigations that involve complex and sensitive subject matter.
It is in this role that my passion for cybersecurity was reignited, and my skill set began to grow beyond traditional investigative techniques. What started as a personal goal, to understand cybersecurity fundamentals, quickly evolved into a deeper realization that these skills could complement and enhance the work of traditional criminal investigations. From digital evidence to data analysis, I saw the growing need for cyber fluency in modern investigative work.
My eagerness to learn has only grew throughout my academic journey. I completed my B.S. in Computer Networks and Cybersecurity (Summa Cum Laude) from the University of Maryland Global Campus in 2024, taking every forensics and offensive security course allowed. I’m currently pursuing a Master’s in Data Analytics and Graduate Certificate in Digital Forensics & Cyber Investigations, both expected to be complete by the Spring of 2026.
Now at professional crossroads, I find myself preparing to fully transition into the cybersecurity field. I created this website to document and showcase the projects I’ve completed - ranging from academic work to personal home lab builds and ongoing experiments in cybersecurity and analytics.
